Your first match weekend

The automation does the chasing. This is what to look at, when, so you know it is working — about ten minutes across the week.

Before the week starts

1. Read the plan once

Open Comms plan from the fixtures menu of a competition, or from your profile for the whole account. It lists what will go out for a fixture on your match day: the venue request to the home team, the follow-up, “details set — please confirm” to the other side, the reminders, the day sheet, the score request and the call-off notice, each with who receives it and whether it is email, text or both. Steps marked Fixed always run; the rest follow your settings. The account view shows which competitions inherit your defaults and which override them, and what the override changes.

If a lead is wrong, fix it in Edit league → Fixture Emails. Leads count whole calendar days, so 13 days before a Saturday fixture is always the Sunday a fortnight before. Requests and chases go at 07:00; the 6- and 3-day reminders go at 18:00, so they arrive apart from the morning’s requests.

The week

2. Glance at Match day

From Home, pick the Saturday on the date ribbon and tap Match day status. One card per fixture, every competition, with chips reading left to right: request sent, host viewed, details set, away viewed, away confirmed, score from each side, result. Green is done. Amber means the ball is with a manager. Red needs you. Grey is not due yet.

The Needs attention filter hides everything green. The copy button gives you a plain-text summary for your committee.

When someone says “I never got it”

3. Check the Comms log

Fixtures menu → Comms log. Every email and text the competition sent, newest first: recipient, team, time, and a delivery verdict. Texts show Delivered or Not delivered with the network’s reason within seconds. Emails show Delivered once Microsoft’s delivery log confirms the recipient’s server accepted them, usually within half an hour. “Sent” on its own never means delivered.

Afterwards

4. Season insights

Home → Season insights keeps the numbers over the season: requests sent, details set, confirmations, scores in on time. Copy as text for the review meeting. That is the whole job: read the plan once, glance at Match day, check the log when asked.
